Bloomin Brooches

November 2, 2004

I’m back from my 2 mth hiatus – work related of course 😛 I’m not on holidays yet, we still have to report to work till 4th Dec – but hrs are shorter and it’s a lot less stressful as the pupils aren’t around.

With the reduction of stress – I’ve found a new fad – felt brooches 🙂 These are my 2nd attempts – which I’m pretty proud of. Of late I’ve started to collect a few brooches – it started off with my sequence flower pins, then a silver bow from Accessorize, then a fake pink gem brooch from a flea market… But you know I think I did start wearing them when I was little – my mum bought me this toothpaste brooch from swap-meet which I use to wear heaps 🙂

Aside from stitching felt brooches, I’m also looking forward to the annual end-yr holidays – yipeee!

Ho Chi Minh: 16th Nov – 21st Nov
Shanghai: 7th Dec – 14th Dec
Home sweet Home: 20th Dec – 29th Dec

In Vietnam I’m looking forward to doing lots of sketching and photography. I can’t wait to sample the authentic Vietnamese Rolls & the French cusine too! And I hear there’s lots of Art to buy and see. And tailoring is apparently cheap – so an Ou Dai maybe?! 🙂

In Shanghai, I’m looking forward to shopping (which according to Sally is REALLY cheap & good, esp. at the markets). AND of course I’m looking forward to chowing down Shanghai’s cusine!

Sylvia and anyone else that’s travelled to the above places – pls do leave suggestions on places that I MUST visit!! Much appreciated!
