Baby Arleen!!!!!!!

October 28, 2006

We were given the day off in lieu of Deepavali 🙂

Kicked off the morning with Kelvin’s RPM with Eu @ 7.20am!!!!! No regrets tho – we felt totally refreshed and energised after the workout and relaxing in e steam room!

Later on we met up with Mil, Gail, Ad, Audrey, Bal and bubby Arleen for brekkie @ Deli france. Arleen was a doll – so adorable and well-behaved – it was sooo amusing seeing her reaction when she saw her reflection in the mirror – she seemed so fascinated with ‘herself.’

After brekkie, we proceeded to Za’s place to see her newborn Harith – who slept like a baby during the visit. Was a tiring but pleasant baby day out! 🙂

Its official – bye bye PL

October 26, 2006

Well it’s official folks, my P announced during today’s assembly the departure of myself and another colleague. I didn’t expect it actually, cos I thought she’d tell the girls next year after we leave.

She was very appreciative in her thanks and acknowledged my 6.5yrs in the school and my role as level head and a key personnel in the art dept. Well…. I gotta admit I kinda felt sad to say goodbye to PL, but at the same time like my P said – God will guide HC and I on our new journey ahead 🙂 I certainly see His hand in this new detour of my life and I thank Him for the colleagues and students He has placed along the journey 🙂

The sun’s rays are peeking through more visibly of late 🙂 Feeling happier and excited about the new year ahead.

With work winding down, am trying to increase the gx class attendance. Did RPM with Eunice last night, and really sweated it out – I love the feeling of sweat dripping from the forehead and neck.

Today Nav, Eunice and I went to MW to support Rodney’s Body Attack class. Rodney told us during RPM that BA is the no 1 cardioworkout, followed by RPM, STEP, then BC – he wasn’t kidding! It’s similar to step, with lots of starjumps & running – by the 3rd track all the participants were pooped. After the 1hr workout I felt mega-tired (legs wanted to giveway – whilst walking back to Cityhall mrt) but twas incredibly endorphic-happy. Oh yea – have managed to do Step the last fortnight – am loving it still 🙂

Aside from gymming, gradually catching up with friends. President HC treated me to Swensens yesterday and it was good getting to know her better.

Nav & I met up with Faye and Andrew too @ the Artery bar, Red Dot Museum (Tanjong Pagar) last night. I didn’t realise there was so many nice bars behind the Red Dot Museum facade – it’s really quite swanky – guess we’ll be returning soon.

P.s Natasha Bedingfield’s song ‘Unwritten’ is playing in my head – it’s my new anthem 🙂

I am unwritten, can’t read my mind, I’m undefined
I’m just beginning, the pen’s in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten…………..

What’s your NESS?

October 17, 2006

Isn’t she gorgeous? 🙂 Dear CY is such a fashionista – with her loud stockings, vintage dresses & porcupine hair sticks! Whilst some may find her style too avante-garde – that’s just her ness.’ If you watched ‘You, me & Dupree’ you’ll know what ness – means 😉

So what’s my ‘ness’ you ask? Hmmm…. I can think of 3 obvious ag-NESS traits…..

  1. FICKLE – i’ve been like that since uni – too many things run throught my mind (which leads me to my next NESStrait)
  2. HYPERACTIVE – blame it on my mummy, I can’t seem to sit still – hence e gym membership helps me to channel this ‘energy’
  3. ARTY – sketching, photography, painting, doodling, jewellery making & now scrapbooking – I’ve always liked to view the world and ordinary objects as potential canvases.

What are your Nesses?

Came back from my first ‘SB’ workshop conducted by B & A of course. Jade & Lise, as well as 3 of my photography club girls came along – it was great. I learnt how to use glue dots, twirl ribbons, use clear stamps & how to use sandpaper for texturising 🙂

Rub-on magic!

October 3, 2006

I’m on this SB discovery trail and these are the fruits of my ‘rub-on’ experiments… I applied some Making Memories rub-ons on my old Camper shoes and then tried it on my gym water bottle – rubbing the initials of my fave GX classes – the fonts are very ROxY & Billabong in-other-words very teenagie

haha.. I have a feeling JW would like the bottle 😛

P.s you gotta check out Made with Love @ Plaza Singapuram its a mega-luxe SB candy store!!!
