    Hi Mrs Ong!

I doubt you’ll remember me but I was your past Art Club member when you were teaching at PLMGS some years back. Saw you featured on the Clothes Project and thought I could visit your blog. Your pictures are so interesting and quirky. Love your style!

    Best regards,

I came across your blog while searching for all things related to hainanese. I decided to leave a comment when I read your post on your trip back to Hainan Island, and your experience is very much the same as mine. I am a Singaporean Hainanese and going back to the village which my grand-dad once lived in was a really big eye-opener for me, and an experience like no other. I am quite a travel bug myself and having visited places, I find that it is very important to keep whatever hainanese culture that we know of intact! Please keep posting about cultural experiences !!
